People, process and passion.
We are looking for someone who understands how a busy, FMCG operation works. Someone who can drive improvements through people, through process and exhibit passion and high care levels in leading from the front.
The business are a real success story. A relatively young business – they have grown dramatically, through hard work, a solid commercial plan and the operational delivery to back it up. This is a chance to really mould the future of the Engineering department. You aren’t going to be walking into something that is broken, but there are plenty to improvements to be made. You will need to drive a cultural shift within the team of taking engineering from ‘fixing something when it breaks down’ to ‘preventing this happening in the first place’. Its a quick, high volume site with hundreds of people and every breakdown has a huge impact on performance in an industry with tight margins.
That’s where you come in. This won’t be for everyone. There are plenty of easier roles out there if you want a job to coast in. But if you back yourself, fancy a challenge and have a track record as an Engineering Manager in an FMCG environment then I’d love to hear from you.
PS – it’s not all what you can do for the business.
You’ll be paid a competitive salary. Get genuine autonomy. The chance to really build a high performing team that need a leader. The business are going places so there is plenty of scope for progression, both at their current factory and beyond. It won’t just be maintenance. Plenty of projects coming up and cross functional continuous improvement.
So if you’re a good people manager and have a track record of implementing processes and can bring passion and care to your role, please get in touch with Daniel Bowes at Radar Recruitment.
