Join us as a Java Development Manager in Private Banking Systems

Some of your key responsibilities include:

– Act as a project leader, overseeing critical development efforts that improve value add for PB business

– Collaborate with other development managers, BA, QM, support, operations team effectively

– Distinguish and consider the business needs and deliver on those business needs

– Plan and design the structure of a technology solution

– Establish software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software

– Oversee development and implementation of programs

– Communicate system requirements to software development teams

– Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods

– Provide technical leadership and support to software development teams

– Ensure quality and efficiency for assigned tasks and deliverables

– Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions

– Ensure team adheres to coding standards and establish code reviews for all project efforts

General Skills

– Ability to interface effectively with all areas affected by the projects (e.g. business users, developers, etc.).

– Excellent interpersonal skills and responsiveness to client need

– Strong organizational, time management and communication (written and oral) skills

– Ability to work with distributed teams in a dynamic, iterative development process

– Ability to work on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously

– Maintain a daily task list for assigned projects discussing time allotments, schedules, and delegations

– Assist project teams to account for risks, exception scenarios

– Prepare for regular project team meetings pertaining to project tasks, deliverables, and milestones

Qualifications:

– B.S. or equivalent in a Computer Science

– Minimum 8 years experience dealing with various technologies in Application Development

– Proficient understanding of Web Applications, Business Intelligence (Qlik) and Database (Oracle and SQLServer)

– Experience in Agile development processes

– Development / Development management experience in Java or C#,.NET

– Good understanding of AngularJS (4.0 or above) is a plus

– Good understanding of typography, UX, and layout, Strong, clean visual design sense is a plus

– Excellent problem-solving and issue-resolution skills

– Financial Services industry experience a plus

– Mobile Application development experience a plus
