Position Summary

Responsible for leading the design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance and documentation of software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle best practices for Quality Assurance. Hold overall responsibility for quality and technical design process. Lead from a quality perspective by designing, implementing, maintaining the test automation framework. Communicate with teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with highest quality. Strive to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. Essential Job Functions * Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large and/or architecturally significant applications

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices; design, implement and maintain test automation frameworks and lead automation delivery for the team
  • Identify automation opportunities in the projects and develop automation scripts using automation tools and frameworks; champion company standards and best practices; work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices
  • Develop programming specifications; design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
  • Complete estimates and work plans independently as appropriate for test automation design, development and release tasks
  • Create technical system and testing process documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC
  • Execute automated, functional and manual tests for each release, maintain the release documentation and lead
  • Setup and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines; communicate with appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are managed appropriately and that completed assignments are of the highest quality
  • Assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates; mentor team members by pairing, performing code reviews and helping to resolve technical issues
  • Educate teams on quality assurance best practices and share lessons learned; may direct the day-to-day work activities of other team members
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties

Minimum Position Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in software testing and delivery of large-scale and complex systems solutions for multiple domains in an agile development environment

  • Any experience with Javascript or Java
  • Any experience with software development lifecycle, continuous integration & deployment, version control (Git), responsive web applications (React JS and Angular), and testing cross-browser and mobile devices
  • 3+ years of experience in test and script automation architecture design, development and maintenance.
