What You Will Be Doing

– Leads Quality Engineering (QE) organization with a capacity of 350-400 team members (made up of both employees and/or vendor relationships) across multiple global locations
– Sets and leads long-term strategy for testing and automation across the enterprise, keeping up with, and staying ahead of, best-in-industry practices and technologies
– Acts as primary liaison between QE and development leaders for all products
– Collaborates with the various product, operations and business teams for a clear understanding of customer feedback and product quality priorities
– Sets and leads short- and long-term goals for the QE leaders and their teams as well as third party resources; ensures that these plans are coordinated with those of related departments
– Establishes and manages budgets, resources, schedules and performance standards
– Owns leadership relationship with outsource / contract vendors to ensure delivery of goals
– Regularly interacts with senior executives to understand and/or influence business decisions of material impact
– Sponsors and participates in quality improvement programs and projects as appropriate and as identified by any member of the Change Healthcare team
– Oversees preparation and implementation of project staffing estimates, and monitors project status and skills requirements; supports ensuring appropriate resource levels and mix of competencies among staff
– Drives strategic leverage of quality performance metrics across the enterprise

What You Need for this Position

MUST HAVE:
– 15+ years experience in Software Development/Quality Engineering/Assurance
– 10+ years management experience, including 5+ years leading Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs)
– Expert knowledge of Product Development techniques and overall software development lifecycles
– Proven experience working with agile development and DevOps practices
– Ability to lead large, geographically dispersed organizations
– Cultural familiarity with working with and managing people and vendors in global markets
– Detail oriented with both strong program management and project management skills
– Track record of success in leading strategic initiatives in matrixed organizations
– Ability to navigate and work across multiple teams to develop, communicate, and support a company’s short-term and long-term business objectives
– Highly complex problem-solving capabilities
– Practical experience in building and running QE teams in agile and DevOps models
– Strategic thinker capable of providing clear, balanced advice/counsel on a broad range of strategic and complex management, product and technology issues
– Results-oriented with a high degree of analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills
– Strong collaboration and influencing skills; effectively builds strong relationships and partnerships within and outside of the company as well as effectively manages conflict
– Public speaking experience with presenting to large, diverse audiences in a dynamic and captivating fashion both online as well as live
– Ability to thrive and quickly adapt to change; leading others through change in a dynamic, fast-paced industry and work environment
– Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with an open, honest and direct communication style that develops rapport and credibility across the organization, and promotes ideas and proposals persuasively
